late for my interview

Hello!

Time to get back into the swing of things. Since I wasn't able to post over the past few weeks I thought I'd get started with a little warm-up post/tag.

Just before I departed a few weeks ago to start the "project" I mentioned (more about that later), I signed up to be interviewed by my dear friend sognatrice over at bleeding espresso. In keeping my word, here it goes:

Question: Politics: Don't get me started or I wouldn't know where to start?

Definitely not one of my favorite topics and, to be honest, I can't say I know a lot about politics, in general. What I can say is this: Obviously, the war in Iraq is "the" hot topic politically. When I think about all the discussion and debate about the war my mind begins to spin.
What sticks out in my mind, if we want to speak politically, is all of the finger pointing and blaming. It seems many can stand back and point out all the "wrong doings", be critical of others and find fault, yet I wonder how many people are willing to actually do something rather than complain about it?

Question: Would you prefer a partner to be smarter and/or more attractive than you?

Is this a trick question?
I find my husband's "know how" extremely attractive. He is clever about things I have no idea about and I think it's a good balance. I also think he's gorgeous. I never considered him smarter or more attractive because I have never used myself as a measure for his qualities. I think we are both smart and attractive together, as one.

Question: What is the one thing you'd really like to do well but don't yet?

Manage my time better. I think I've improved but I still struggle, and perhaps I always will, and being somewhat of a perfectionist doesn't help.

Question: Is it easy for you to tell people "no"?

For the most part, yes. There are certain circumstances and situations that may be difficult but I'm rather out spoken and strong in this regard.

Question: Madonna or Cher?

I never was a fan of Cher. I never really gave her much thought. I'm definitely more familiar with Madonna and like a certain selection of the music she has made.

*I know I'm late in getting to this but in case anyone wants to participate here are the rules for this même:

1. Leave me a comment saying "Interview me."

2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. I get to pick the questions.

3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.

4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.

5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Well better late than never as they say. Great answers, especially number 2. I like that you said you don't use yourself as a measure--if only we could all take people at face value on individual qualities. And I'm very glad you're good at saying no :)
