a Love note

This past weekend I found an envelope propped up against our bedroom door. Inside was a lovely card with the above message inside. My heart melted a bit.

I've been creating with the materials I have at hand and my step-daughter has been the recipient of a few small projects (which I hope to share in a post soon). She's all about butterflies right now, hence her creative and imaginative *pen* name.

Kind words make the heart soar.

It's Love Thursday everyone. Hoorah!
XO

Time Machine
~imagine~
Twelve moons have loosed
the pearly chains of gravity
to send the sea back,
back to its tidal rest
past the gately towers
of Queensboro's
rich and stately spires,
back to strawberry fields
and imaginary times
of peace and love
when lyric and rhyme
mesmerized the mind.(c)

Oh, that is precious! I save all of my notes from kids, too and read them over and over when I feel sad.

Aww...how great is that?! Sometimes it can be hard for stepmoms and stepdaughters to connect but you both look like you've hit it off. What a nice surprise - to find her note outside your bedroom door. She's a thoughtful one, isn't she?

How sweet! And fabulous that your stepdaughter so appreciates the gifts you made for her by hand. I'm looking forward to seeing them on your blog.

P.S. Thanks for visiting mine!

Aw, what a precious note from one Miss Madame Butterfly. So sweet. I have several of these notes from my children that I keep in my locked jewelry box. They are very dear to me. Mor precious than diamonds.
I am smiling from ear to ear for you and her.
